What is the purpose of the role?
The Segment Lead will be responsible for developing the commercial and customer strategy and operationalise segment strategy for our Private Landlord and Tenants. Utilises customer insight in order to create a segmented marketing plan that delivers a tailored customer experience and value add propositions. Responsible for driving commercial value from the segment and to identify opportunities within the customer base to drive incremental revenue, reduce cost to serve and improve satisfaction.

Thames Water is the UK's largest water and wastewater services provider, with 15 million customers, 4,500 employees and 4,000 contractors. You will be joining at a time when the UK water industry is undergoing its biggest change since privatisation. From 2017, business customers will have a choice about who to buy their water and wastewater services from. Thames Water is forging ahead with a major transformation of its core business to be ready for this change, both as a wholesaler and a retailer.
What will this role involve?
Work with various departments to obtain information to create reports.
Developing marketing plans for the promotion of Landlord TAP (Tenant Address Portal for Water Billing in England & Wales)
Develop and manage effective segment plans.
Responsible for driving commercial performance of segment Owns and manages commercial policies relevant to segment
Facilitates delivery of segment initiatives, plans and interfacing with external parties.
Drive effective, proactive and targeted communications and marketing campaigns to build and enhance customer engagement.
Drive continuous learning around segment needs through customer insight and analytics
What are we looking for?
You will be ideally be Degree qualified, have a proven track record in marketing, communications and campaign management and have background in customer value management or commercial marketing. You will preferably have experience of data mining and propensity modelling along with a good understanding of customer expectations and customer bases. A proven track record of engaging with internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects and knowledge of appropriate IT systems/packages is essential.
Thames Water information and salary details
This is a permanent role which can be based at our offices in Reading, Berkshire or Swindon Wiltshire. We are offering an annual salary of up to £42,000, depending on skills and experience.
