A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a OBIEE Specialis t to join our team in Albany, New York.

Position Functions or Responsibilities:
Plan the upgrade
Activity A:
  • Review technology stack to ensure it is the appropriate version upgrade and component integration for the upgrade
  • Review and assess current performance issues
  • Identify performance issues that will be improved with the software upgrades
  • Work Deliverables:
  • Written documentation of recommended upgrade paths and expected performance improvements.
Activity B:
  • Develop a migration plan from the existing UAlbany OBIEE components to each of the new environments
  • Develop a migration plan from the existing UAlbany ODI 11g components to each of the new environments
  • Develop test plan with success criteria
  • Work Deliverables:
  • Written migration plans for OBIEE and ODI component upgrades
  • Written Test plan with success criteria and results
Activity C:
  • Build Project Schedule
  • Monitor and Control project through weekly monitoring and control

Work Deliverables:
  • Updated Weekly Project Schedule for weekly monitoring and control
  • Weekly Status Reports

Upgrade existing BI Software:

Activity D:
  • Install a Development, Quality Assurance and Production Instance of OBIEE and migrate the current OBIEE environment to the new environment.
  • Install a Development, Quality Assurance and Production Instance of ODI 12c and migrate the current ODI 11g environment to the new environment.
  • Execute Test Plans and record results.
  • Performance tuning of each of the environments.

Work Deliverables:
  • Working OBIEE and ODI environment meeting success criteria
  • Written documentation of Test Plans and Test Results
  • Written documentation of project performance tuning activities
  • Written Recommendations for additional performance tuning requirements that are beyond the scope of OBIEE and ODI

  • Review ongoing operations:

Activity E:
  • Review service operation steps to ensure it enables a reliable system after the upgrade

Work Deliverables:
  • Written recommendations for service operation improvements

Basic Qualifications: MINIMUM 3 years of experience with;
  • reviewing performance and service operation in an OBIEE Linux environment
  • installing and successfully deploying all components of the OBIEE architecture in a Linux environment
  • installing and successfully deploying all components of the ODI architecture in a Linux environment
  • writing and presenting complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms.

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
