About the role
This high-profile role will see you lead your team to create high-quality designs and schedules for the +1 week to 2 year planning time frame. You will utilise your superior leadership and people management skills to motivate your team to deliver a high level of performance and build effective working relationships with Production and Integrated Operations in order to create a 'Best in Business' environment.
With four direct reports at Superintendent level, this position will enable you to use your technical experience and leadership skills to coach and mentor your team, drive best practice and truly make a difference to departmental performance. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a key-decision maker and have strong influence in regards to how the mine is run.
One of the newest additions to the BMA group, the Daunia Mine has an estimated annualised tonnage of 6mt per annum. This is a true opportunity to shape your own destiny in a performance-focused culture.

This position is based at Daunia Mine Site (Central Queensland) and is offered on a 4/4/4/2 roster (working - Monday to Thursday, Tuesday to Friday).
You will have experience in a management role, particularly in a Mine Planning or Technical Services environment. You will also ideally have had operational experience or exposure to this area.
Utilise your strategic and analytical mind, as well as your excellent business acumen to coach your team in order to drive productivity improvements and cost reduction. You must be a strong change agent.
You will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and able to use your relationship building and influencing skills in order to hold others to account.
