Able to obtain SC clearance
The Project Manager will focus on managing the equipment production sub-contracts to achieve the required equipment delivery profile to support the Mode 5 IFF embodiment programme schedule.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Mode 5 IFF programme team to ensure the equipment production requirements are achieved, and to report progress, and manage risks and opportunities as part of the overall Mode 5 IFF programme. Predominantly the role will focus on the relationship with the equipment suppliers, maintaining close co-ordination between the demands of the Platform embodiment plans and equipment production schedules, and reporting into the Mode 5 IFF programme.
*Delivering a technical programme efficiently - Understanding cost implications, delivery timescales, design assurance, schedules and reports
*Managing programme delivery to meet Cost, Time and Quality targets
*Reporting progress of the equipment production programmes against schedule
*Contribute to the improvement and efficiency of the Mode 5 IFF programme and S3(UK) Business Unit
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
*Hold Programme and Project Management qualifications such as APM, Prince2 or equivalent
*Understanding of equipment design approval and production processes
*Experience working with technical and non-technical teams across a broad range of disciplines and geographies
*Proven experience of managing major sub-contractors/partners
*Strong experience of managing complex issues
*Experience in building strong supplier relationships with high level stakeholders
*Ability to deliver programmes successfully in a demanding environment
*A logical, proactive and flexible attitude
*Confident working with all levels of staff, including Team Management skills
*The ability to travel (approx. 50% of the time in UK, Europe and US)
