Our client is looking for an experience Geospatial Engineering Surveyor to join their team in Nottingham.|
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and LSS software
Academic qualifications in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering.
Proficient in the use of Leica Total Stations and GPS equipment.
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and LSS software.
Understanding of 3D laser scanning, underground utility mapping, aerial photogrammetry and LGO.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have strong analytical skills.
Working towards professional membership with ICES.
Achieve minimum of 5 days continuing professional development (CPD) per year.
Hold valid CSCS card and have working understanding of site/construction safety.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team within a variety of environments and have the necessary skills and experience to work under pressure to deadlines and budgets.
Keen eye for quality and have the ability to solve problems effectively.
Self-motivated and achievement orientated with a positive attitude, pro-active approach and desire to develop a career in the field of geospatial engineering surveying and the built environment.
Flexible regarding site location and working hours.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake topographical land surveys, measured building surveys and engineering surveys in accordance with company systems/standards within time and on budget.
Assess the brief prior to commencement of the survey to determine the most efficient solutions for delivering the project.
Liaise with clients, agents, other staff members and third parties to agree/arrange site access for surveying projects.
Data collection and processing.
Use various computer software programs which will include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access), AutoCAD and more specialist software such as LSS.
Assist with the training of survey assistants in accordance with industry standards.
Other duties as may occasionally be required to support the needs of the business.
Annual salary paid monthly on 28th of each month.
Bonus scheme provided based on the employees productivity.
Minimum 7.5 hours working day Monday to Friday, with core hours of 10am to 4pm. Minimum 30 minutes lunch break.
25 days annual leave, rising to 26 after two years’ service and 27 after 5 years’ service.
After 3 months service entitled to join company pension scheme (5% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution). The scheme includes death in service benefit of 2x salary, rising to 4x salary after 5 years’ service.
After 6 months service entitled to join company private healthcare scheme.
Membership fees for one professional institution reimbursed.
Support provided to employees that join the Reserve Forces, are veterans or are Service spouses/partners.
