Electrically biased Production Maintenance Technician's required for global market leader|
Electrical bias, Maintenance experience
Our client, who are a global leader in the manufacture of cables are looking to recruit an Electrically biassed Maintenance Technician to boost its support team at their plant in Wrexham.
The Maintenance Technician will maintain, repair and fault find on plant and machinery, using a range of maintenance disciplines. In addition they will be asked to ensure and improve plant efficiency through continuous improvement.
As a key member of a team eventually working a continuous 7 day shift pattern, the successful candidate will also contribute towards machine efficiency and development programmes using existing programmes/methodologies.
It is preferable that candidates will have completed a recognised apprenticeship and must have a broad ranging background including previous experience of working within Engineering and Maintenance. As well as an Electrical bias the successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a strong electronic and PLC system knowledge. Computer literacy is also essential.
The ability to work on your own initiative is an additional quality required in this role.
Initially the chosen candidates will work a rotating 2 shift system between 7am and 10pm Monday to Friday however after completing initial training will move on to shift work which will be 12 hours per shift on a rotating 4x4 basis. This will consist of 2 x 12 hours days, 2 x 12 hours nights then 4 days off..
Remuneration package includes:
* Basic salary initially of £25,825 per annum + shift premium (£2,790 for 2 shift)
