Our clients have a 1 year fixed term contract available for a HSE professional to drive a step change in the HSE performance & standards, including buy-in and adoption of HSE policies.

Experience leading a change program within an Environmental, Health and Safety role.

The Job
Key Responsibilities
1 Instil a sustainable culture of HSE accountability, ownership and openness at the site e.g. transparent near miss/unusual occurrence reporting.
2 Drive the completion of remaining HSE improvement plan actions resulting from Risk profiling (LoA) from current year/previous years and HSE audits (internal and external)
3 Drive the progression of the HSE sub-capabilities in the SIMM tool, particularly focusing on compliance v CoPs.
4 Develop, agree and implement minimum HSE/Housekeeping standards across the site and regular monitoring to ensure adoption.
5 Be part of the companies expansion project team, ensuring HSE is considered throughout the design and implementation stages of the expansion.
6 Assist the UK BA leadership team and management teams in building a leader-led HSE agenda, building routines that will become permanent and autonomously managed by the leadership team.
7 Build a robust HSE working relationship with the Facilities Manager based on site, to fully embed this new position.
8 Ensure DSE assessments for all staff with a computer are kept up to date and regularly reviewed.
9 Trend analysis and reporting on hazard cards submitted by the team.
10 Ensure the minimum number of permit audits and Safety Observations Conversations are completed by month end.
Required Skills & Experience
• HSE professional with experience of leading a change program
• IOSH qualification or equivalent.
• Able to demonstrate well rounded knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
• Self motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
• IT literate with experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint software.
