Automotive client based in Cannock, is looking for a technician to provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment at their Cannock site. |
HNC/ONC electrical qualifaction
Carryout fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas;
Robotics, PLC's Electrical Control Systems and Pneumatics.
Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities.
Programming, fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of motoman robots, rotary positioners and mig/spot welding equipment.
Prepare technical reports to analyse breakdown causes and make recommendations on countermeasures.
Support equipment commissioning and installation projects.
For this role as a Robot Technician you need the following skills/qualifications:
Have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship within a similar environment.
Educated to at least ONC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably on a mutli skilled basis.
The Robot Technician will be required to have multi-skilled maintenance experience with automated facilities with specific experience in PLC fault finding and/or programming.
Have experience in welding technology and if possible the maintenance of welding equipment.
Possess a good mechanical knowledge to include pneumatics.
Good communicator and in particular able to produce technical reports.
The basic salary for a Robot Technician will be £33,000 with a 26% shift allowance for working 7 a day week rotating days to nights which takes the salary up to £41,580.
Your shift will be 4 days on, 4 days off, then 4 nights on 4 days off and so on. Hours to be determined.
