You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:
  • Work in a small functional team to support Flight Test activity
  • Produce engineering (design drawings) for the repair or modification of these aircraft systems
  • Provide aircraft systems technical advice relating to test methods and procedures for these systems
  • Perform liaison with on and off-site Design Engineering core group and Systems Specialists Engineering group.
  • Produce aircraft level ground/flight test return to services
  • Review and analysis of data obtained from ground and flight tests of these systems
  • Prepare plans for troubleshooting aircraft/systems problems, and oversee the implementation of these plans
  • Sign flight release documentation (including safety of flight judgments) discrepancies or non-standard modifications.
  • Some travel required

As our ideal candidate,
  • You must have a minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a flight test environment and 2 years technical training . In lieu of formal technical training, 7 years of related experience will qualify
  • You must be a US Citizen in order to work with ITAR classified equipment
  • You must have knowledge of aircraft systems and operations required
  • Knowledge of flight test procedures and practices preferred
  • You must have proficiency in MS Powerpoint, MS Excel and MS Project
  • You must have a strong organizational & time management skills to support multiple tasks
  • You must have strong communication skills to ensure clear consistent and timely information sharing within the team and across functional areas
