Summary of the position: Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Administration, this position will be responsible for the financial and accounting reporting in general for the 3 companies and consolidated. Detail of duties and responsibilities: Provide oversight and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounts payable and accounts receivable. Manage and co-ordinate with customers and sales managers for collection of receivables Monitor the collection of revenue by payment providers Assisting with implementation of online data portal to facilitate timely collections. Ensure the controls are in place and proper policies and procedures being followed Assisting with implementation of IT projects with regard to automation and integration of current processes to improve efficiency Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs and actual expenditures Consistently analyze ageing of accounts receivables and present weekly and monthly collection reports including KPI's in an accurate and timely manner. Assist PressReader's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process Preparing documentation and complying with regulations for SR&ED tax filings Ensure the controls are in place and proper policies and procedures being followed Assisting with any other accounting and finance issues Requirements: CPA designation Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting manager or controller position Experience with SR&ED Tax Filings Experience in IT sector an asset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Dynamics GP an asset Experience with multi-currency environment Working knowledge of US GAAP Experience with Public Company Reporting, an asset.
