Are you an experienced Draughtsman looking for a permanent position for a worldwide aerospace company based just inside the M25?
This position is responsible for generating detail engineering drawings suitable to manufacture against and without ambiguity.
Communication between team members, project managers, manufacturing and assembly is essential in generating drawings 'fit for purpose' and 'right first time', as is the ability to work methodically and accurately within tight deadlines.
Mentoring and training of junior personnel will also be required, depending on skills, experience and seniority.

1 Generating engineering drawings from CAD models, ensuring data is fully defined but not over defined, or ambiguous.
2 Producing, modifying and updating 3D models, detail and assembly engineering drawings in-line with approved engineering change requests and document the changes using engineering change notices.
3 Liaising directly with Production Engineering Department to ensure datum and tolerance schemes are aligned with Design, Manufacturing and Inspection requirements.
4 Producing and maintaining detail engineering drawings in accordance with internal procedures.
5 Creating models from old drawings using NX9 and producing engineering drawings from the models to Martin-Baker approved practice.
6 Produce Geometric Dimension & Tolerance analyse and justification documents.
7 Carrying out part clash identification and tolerance analyses.
8 Processing of Approved Drawing Revision (ADR) requests including the identification of subject matter experts and the accountable Drawing Office Section to fully evaluate the broader impact of any proposed modifications and then updating the electronic drawing.
9 Using of Siemens Teamcenter 10 for drawing control.
* Thorough grounding in the production of engineering drawings to relevant specifications.
* Good understanding in the application of GD&T.
* Good experience in machined components and tolerance analyses.
* Knowledge and application of mechanical aerospace engineering.
* Experience in modern manufacturing methods and processes.
Sound numerical and verbal skills - data manipulation.
