Our clients are a professional consultancy providing a range of services including Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Principal Designer, CDM Advisor and Building Surveying. Due to recent growth, they are currently looking for an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Merseyside. |
You will be working on a variety of projects across a number of sectors including, health and education. Your role will be to assist the team and their Clients with projects from inception to completion, utilising various contractual approaches from traditional, design and build to measured term contracting on projects ranging in value up to multi-million pound schemes.
The role will involve assisting on the delivery of cost consultancy advice:
-Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
-Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
-Preparing and analysing tenders
-Valuing completed work, final accounts and arranging payments
-Review budgets, interim accounts, final accounts, and contract compliance
-Attend Measured Term Contract (MTC) team and progress meetings
-Prepare technical progress reports
-Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
-Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
-Assist with QS and EA services on large projects and a variety of other schemes.
-Client liaison and relationship development
Our clients will provide you with a structured training programme to enable you to progress towards becoming Chartered. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to join a well-established and expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have recently achieved a minimum 2:1 classification with Honours in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), will possess the initiative and enthusiasm to develop a successful career in quantity surveying. Some previous experience in a quantity surveying role is preferred.
