A family owned construction business undertaking a wide range of construction work along the M4 corridor from Swindon to West London and from Aylesbury to Southampton.
Current projects range in value from several thousand up to four and a half million pounds and covers all sectors of the industry-housing, education, restoration, leisure, health, commercial and retail. They have an in-house Joinery Division and a nucleus of directly employed crafts men which give them direct control of quality, especially when undertaking refurbishment projects, as well as a team of selected specialist sub-contractors.
The job Spec
Site Manager on a permanent basis. Someone from a trade background who has a few years management experience. Reporting into a visiting Contracts Manager, the Manager will be No1, running schemes up to £3M. Work is primarily within the Commercial and Education sectors, ranging from small builds to refurbishment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in live environment. The successful applicant will conduct, site set up, liaise with the company buyer for calling off materials, plant and material returns, ensuring all paperwork on project is up to speed, sub-contractors RAMS checked and signed off. Management of subbies against programme and any direct employees. Enforcing Health & Safety.
