Talented tech support specialist needed

We're looking for a hands-on technical support specialist to monitor and maintain our computer systems and hardware. This is a role spanning first and second line support across a variety of areas, including networking, security, internal computer systems, general helpdesk queries. We're looking for someone bright and capable to take on core tech responsibilities and keep our systems running smoothly.

You don't need corporate IT experience as we can offer full training for the right candidate who can demonstrate a passion for computing and technology

The role involves initiating and implementing improvements across all areas of IT, prioritising your own workload while keeping up with service requests and reporting back to the relevant stakeholders. You will keep up to date on the latest tech and advise the business of possible improvements, and respond positively to upper-management requests (which you'll get plenty of!)

You'll need great communication skills to engage with tech users and translate tech solutions into accessible language. You'll have to prioritise monitoring the support system and dealing with users' queries, so you'll need to be very organised, take ownership of issues and know when to escalate things to get them sorted.

Core responsibilities include:

* Monitor and help maintain current system architecture, ensuring maximum availability, minimal downtime and optimal performance
* Understand, monitor and implement security measures to protect business assets, highlighting potential improvements and escalating issues quickly
* Assess, advise and troubleshoot on internal computer systems and legacy server hardware
* Respond to and manage helpdesk activities, escalating where needed, and interact with all internal end users globally to provide effective support
