Your new company
A global leader in the design and manufacture of specialist mechanical/electrical devices that are utilised in the industrial manufacturing and construction sectors. Due to new business being transferred to the local facility, the company is looking for a Production Engineer to join them to support the transfer, introduction and improvement of production and assembly cells.
Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will initially be involved with process and equipment transfers, as well as operator training. After this initial phase you'll be involved in the development of processes and equipment (including equipment automation) as well as efficiency improvements to reduce cost and waste.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified engineer (HNC or above) with experience in the manufacture of technical (mechanical/electrical) devices. In particular, you will have experience of; new product introduction (NPI) and/or process transfer in manufacturing and assembly environments, liaison with product development teams regarding product introduction, improvement of manufacturing/assembly processes and manufacturing/assembly equipment and efficiency improvement strategies to reduce manufacturing cost and waste. Some experience of 'scaling-up' production would be beneficial.
