An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Bristol, initially until December 2017 offering up to £360 per day ltd.|
a. To deliver the agreed outputs within delegated resources, as detailed in Joint Business Agreements, the DE&S Business Plan and your letter of delegation (LOD).
b. Working with the Project Manager and PT Risk Manager to capture and manage all engineering, safety and airworthiness risks in ARM.
c. Working with the Project Manager ensuring that the engineering, safety and airworthiness elements of project plans are established and maintained in EPM2010 and are used to brief key stakeholders of progress including the UKMFTS TL, TAA and Air Command.
d. Working with Project and Commercial staff ensuring that Commercial action includes appropriate engineering, safety and airworthiness requirements within the PQQ and ITT and participating in developing the tender evaluation marking schemes and the subsequent technical evaluation of the bids.
e. Representing the TAA & Proj Mng in negotiations with potential suppliers to ensure that project engineering, safety and airworthiness requirements will be met in the planned timescales, at the right level of performance whilst securing value for money in line with expectations.
f. Working with the Project Manager and industry to ensure that the engineering, safety and airworthiness activities of the project progress are reviewed and maintained on track to deliver in agreed timescales and where appropriate, taking decisions on the necessary corrective action to reduce key project risks to delivery.
g. Working with the Requirements Manager, Hawk Support Team Desk Officers, Hawk Operators and HQ Staff effectively capturing and developing the URD and SRD requirements for all DLODs by running and participating in user working groups and agreeing the trade space for cost time and performance measures for each requirement.
h. Engaging with Engineering and Safety SMEs ensuring compliance with MAA regulations including developing and agreeing the Type Certification Exposition and Type Certification Basis for the projects and agreeing the Certification Process with the MAA resulting in the issue of a Military Type Certificate and Release to Service.
