Project Engineer (MRF redesign)|
£30,000 to £38,000 + benefits
We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to join a busy & expanding company operating in the waste management & renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities... Reporting to the Principle Design Engineer the Project Engineer will be responsible for design / re design of the plant & machinery within existing & new build Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs), being operated to take plastics, papers, metal etc out of the waste stream & increase recycling rates. This will include liaison with suppliers of machinery, conveyors systems, heat treatment plant etc to ensure the eventual layout of the sorting equipment is efficient & optimal. Part of this interesting & varied role will include visiting MRF sites to gain a fuller understanding as sites develop & receive capital investment.
Skills and Experience... To be considered for this position you will need to have a mechanical engineering qualification at HNC or above, combined with the ability to read engineering drawings in AutoCAD, good communication / supplier liaison ability & be fully IT literate (including Excel).
Previous experience in the operation of MRFs or layout design of MRFs or Waste Transfer Stations is essential.
There is a salary of between to £30,000 to £38,000 plus benefits with this opportunity to join the renewable energy sector.
This role is commutable from Romford, Barking, Basildon, London etc, & current driving licence preferred.
