NRS Group are currently in the market for a Business Development Manager based in our Livingston HQ. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reputable Business Development professional who is in interested in a new career with a family business that can boast over 43 years' of experience across various projects such as Roads & Bridges, Balance of Plant Onshore Renewables, Power, Remediation, Environmental, Commercial & Industrial, Harbour & Marine, Water Infrastructure and Infrastructure. |
Reporting to the owner and directors at the business with regular reports;
Liaising with Estimators, Buyers, QS's and Engineers/Supervisors on a daily basis;
Attend relevant trades shows / conferences / industry events all over the UK & Ireland representing the business;
Maintain existing relationships and attend client meetings to to potentially make those relationships more profitable; Identifying leads / sales opportunities via networking and research;
Cold calling prospective new clients on a daily basis with a view to winning more tendering opportunities for the business;
Meeting prospective new clients as and where possible and being able to sell our services effectively based on the knowledge and support given to you by directors, contract managers.
Become familiar with our project portfolio, our capabilities as a business, our plant department and clients so this can be utilised whilst approaching new business opportunities.
Plan, oversee and implement out marketing initiatives;
Prepare presentations / sales displays to a high quality for use at client meetings and industry events UK wide.
In depth knowledge of the Civil Engineering sector will be extremely beneficial as most of our projects will involve elements such as roads, drainage, foundations, steelwork etc. Experience working with a Main Contractor or Sub Contractor could be ideal.
Its essential that the applicant will be socially adept with first class communication skills and a passion for winning business.
Its also essential that our Business Development Manager is IT literate and comfortable with programmes such as Excel and Powerpoint etc
