Our Client has an opportunity in a busy Maintenance Department for an Instrumentation or Electrical Technician with Level 3 or equivalent.|
The role is a dual-skilled position and you will work both individually and be part of a team with our other Technicians, predominantly working on Hazardous Area Equipment.
Your duties will include the maintenance, fault-finding and repair of control systems including process computer hardware, shutdown systems, analytical equipment, actuators, control valves and other instrumentation, electrical distribution systems, electric drives/motors and lighting. At times, commissioning of new equipment in conjunction with our projects department will also be undertaken.
Qualification & experience in the following areas are desirable although training will
be given to the suitable candidate:
• Safe use of electricity in potentially explosive atmospheres (compEX 1-4)
• Emerson System 3 DCS & Delta V Control Systems
• Computer literacy
• IEE Regulations 17th Edition, City & Guilds 2382
The role involves working within a strong team-orientated environment, so the candidate will need to possess good interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have a proactive and flexible approach to work. Your working week will be Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00.
Rates are Negotiable.
