We now have a fantastic opportunity for Mechanical & Electrical Fitters to join a leading tool hire equipment company based in Cowley, Oxford on a temp to perm basis.

As a Mechanical & Electrical engineer you will be responsible for the fault-finding, service, repair and maintenance of a range of electrical and mechanical hire equipment, ensuring quality, safety, reliability and availability.

Various shifts available:
6am till 2pm
2pm till 10pm
10pm till 6am

Key role responsibilities
• Work safely and efficiently ensuring the safety of oneself, colleagues and customers at all times
• Fault finding, repair, routine service and maintenance of all hire equipment and products including electrical testing
• Estimate the cost of repair and provide recommendations regarding cost effective repair, write off, damage and customer recharges
• Liaise with the Workshop Team Leader to advise of repairs
• Adhere to damage charging process and ensure product damage is highlighted to the Workshop Team Leader
• Order spare parts as required to achieve the cost effective repair of equipment
• Ensure service records are maintained and updated onto the company system and daily worksheets are populated
• Adhere to all company rules guidelines on Health & Safety at Work
• Ensure all equipment is repaired to the specified standard ready for hire
• Maintain and ensure maximum workshop productivity in line with company targets without compromising HSEQ standards
• Carry our other tasks and duties as required, including working within other departments as and when required
• Ensure work area is safe, tidy and organised at all times

The successful candidate will have a solid engineering and technical background along with experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical plant or equipment. also electrical testing qualifications will be required.
