Our client is a blue-chip engineering and land development company. They are heavily focussed on sustainability and are looking to hire a Senior Transport Planner out of their London office.

The company culture is friendly, open and diverse. The London office is extremely busy and the planning team are working on some very ambitious projects. You would be part of a very dynamic growing team. As the Senior Transport Planner you would work within an experienced team of planners headed up by one of the Partners.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Technical responsibility of transport project delivery, including trip generation and highway capacity modelling, travel planning and transport strategies
Staff mentoring and line management responsibility
Management of small and medium scale projects and monitoring of budgets and resources
Liaison with clients/contractors and local / national authorities as required
Working collectively with other technical disciplines

The Senior Transport Planner would need to have worked in a similar position for at least four+ years and have extensive experience in Transport Planning and Engineering. The Senior Transport Planner will have a good background in understanding Transport Assessments and an understanding of core design principles.

The Senior Transport Planner will have experience in and knowledge of junction modelling software LinSig / PICADY / ARCADY / TRANSYT / VISSIM

You will have excellent communication and technical report writing skills together with being able to mentor and lead junior members of the team. You will have a BSc in Civil Engineering.

An ideal candidate would have some project management experience, however, this is a fantastic opportunity to development your project management capability in a truly multi-disciplinary environment.
