A Manufacturing Engineer with strong knowledge and experience of Design and High Precision Machining is required for a World Leading Engineering Company based in the UK.

Job: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Bath

Salary: £48k - £50k plus Exceptional Career Prospects and Company Benefits

As the successful Manufacturing & Design Engineer you will have the following knowledge and experience:-

• Degree or suitable qualifications and experience in mechanical or related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated experience of successful manufacturing process selection and optimisation
• A good command of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• A good command of manufacturing and assembly methodologies and technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods
• Ablity to work accurately to defined processes
• Ability to produce high quality output with attention to detail
• A hands-on approach appropriate to a small business, able and willing to perform tasks effectively
• Ability to travel worldwide

The post holder will desirably have, or will be able to develop
• Experience of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modelling package
• A minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of generating and reading technical drawings and geometric tolerancing
• Experience of high value precision manufacturing
• Experience of APQP and new product introduction processes
• Experience of hydraulics and high pressure oil and gas sealing technologies
• Knowledge and experience in the use of PDM (Product Data Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
• Knowledge and experience in the use of design analysis, verification and validation methodologies and supporting techniques such as FEA, FMECA, DFM, VAVE
• Knowledge and experience of working with an AS9100 quality management system

• A willingness to develop and learn new skills within an engineering environment
• Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision under own initiative
• Able to generate high quality output with an excellent attention to detail
• Professional, methodical approach to work
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible attitude to work requirements to support project activities as necessary
• A desire to innovate and strive for optimal solutions, seek better ways to perform and share lessons learned with peers.
