A food waste company that transfer product into bio-fuel is looking for an electrical engineer in Liverpool |
Your new company
Your new company are a company that produce bio-fuel from food waste. The company are a subsidiary of a very large organisation and operate from a site close to central Liverpool. The company are one of the largest in their market and have further expansion plans over the next 12-24 months. The main process used in this conversion of waste to fuel is anaerobic digestion. As the company is continually helping the environment they expect to grow over coming years whilst reducing the carbon footprint of the community around us.
Your new role
As an electrical engineer within this organisation your role will vary. You will assist in planning and completing PPM to ensure all machinery and equipment are regularly maintained to meet department requirements and improve efficiency. You will also respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns within the plant. You will also assist in small projects and contribute to the continuous development of the plant. Some of the equipment you can expect to work on would be pumps, valves, boilers, separators and centrifuges. You will be also working in the newly commissioned anaerobic digestion plant and bio-diesel plant. You will work a 4on/4off shift pattern, 6am-6pm.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an electrically biased engineer who also has good mechanical knowledge. You will also be familiar with working in a process environments. Ideally you will be qualified within electrical engineering to HNC level. Most of all you must be a good team player who is enthusiastic and share s the same desire to continually improve the site as the management team. You will also have some exposure into small projects throughout your career.
