With partnerships and certification from leading Automation and Systems Manufacturers, our client can offer progressive training and development. This position would be ideal for an Electro Technical Officer looking for a step up in career.
* Fault finding and rectification of Marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
* Service and Maintain shipboard power generation, distribution and instrumentation systems
* Travelling offshore and world-wide for short periods with some workshop based work
The ideal candidate will be qualified in Marine Engineering to at least HNC standard and possess experience in the field.
* Good working knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* Experience with PLCs, ideally repairs down to component level - e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley
* Flexibility with travel and nights away from home
* Knowledge of High Voltage (HV) & Low Voltage (LV) Systems

This role would suit a current Electro Technical Officer who is seeking to further develop and progress within the Marine Automation Sector.
For this position you can be based from home however, up to 20% of the role is workshop based in the North East, so staying away from home for this period would be required for Engineers who do not live locally. The workshop is commutable within an hour from Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Durham, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland and surrounding areas.
