Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a WIN-T Field Support Representative (FSR) to join our team at Fort Bliss, TX. This position provides an opportunity to support the development of cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will advise and assist military customers with their successful utilization of GDMS WIN-T systems and products. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure GDMS and client technologies are functioning as efficiently as possible.

The WIN-T FSR will:
  • Perform activities associated with installing, maintaining, integrating, troubleshooting, testing and servicing of fielded WIN-T systems/products at customer sites
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures and submits Field Incidents Reports on all Field Activities
  • Set up and utilize specialized test and diagnostic equipment to isolate malfunctions
  • Work closely with design engineering in evaluating product performance and conducting field trials
  • Conduct start-up, cut-over and checkout activities on newly installed systems Conducts site and equipment inspections in order to perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Work with more senior Field Support Reps to plan and emplace system configuration to meet specific mission requirements
  • Conduct technical training for customers, informal on the job training for other field service staff members and customers, and over-the shoulder/refresher training to users in the field as required
  • Maintain complete and accurate logs, documentation of all work orders, spare part inventories and other reports as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 25 weeks of military technical training school, along with an additional four years of related experience is required.


Two years of directly related non-military technical trade school or the equivalent experience, along with an additional two years of related experience is required.


Bachelor's degree in a technical field or the equivalent experience is required.

Industry certifications are highly preferred.

Additionally the WIN-T FSR must have:
  • Comprehensive understanding of technologies associated with WIN-T systems, and the application of these technologies within the customer Field environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to act as a system technical adviser for all levels of customer leadership
  • Strong knowledge of test and diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of basic tool safety

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Travel may be required more than 65% of the time.
