Our client, Kerrisdale Group, is a globally engaged, Canadian-based IT management consultancy and managed services provider (MSP). Kerrisdale is now looking to add a Manager of IT Consulting to their team, located in Vancouver, BC. The Manager of IT Consulting will drive the growth and success of the IT consulting practice and associated IT Directorship Services (IT Management-as-a-Service). The ideal candidate will be a strong consultant and proven IT Manager with 7+ years of directly related operational experience and proven success working in/with Small to Midsize Businesses (SMB). As a new offering to the market, this role offers a unique opportunity to define and direct both internal and client-side business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, growth and quality execution of our IT Directorship capabilities including, but not limited to the areas of IT Goverance, IT Management, IT General Controls, Cyber Security Assurance and IT Operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be accountable for other practice-related activities including business development, client relationship management, sales, recruiting, account management, project oversight and all operational aspects including:Business Development: Lead business development activities, leveraging professional contacts for the benefit of the CompanyPractice Building: Drive overall growth of practice area through a combination of business development, talent management, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadershipTeam & Individual Development: Maximize team performance through an effective team approach that increases productivity and job satisfaction and assign Practice Area development tasks when resources are between projects and programsEngagement Management: Manage engagement risk, project/program economics including planning and budgeting, managing sales, defining deliverable content, and ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions by our client's engagement stakeholders and sponsorsPractice Management: Billable utilization range of 50-80% across a small cluster of client accounts, direct revenue responsibility of $500-1.5MM, and manage team of 2-6 consultants QUALIFICATIONS:7-12 years of previous IT experience with preferably at least 5 years at a management levelPrevious consulting experience which has resulted in proven negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision making skillsA proven track record in supporting all stages of the business development cycle for IT Advisory & Assurance engagement pursuits, with significant client interaction at all stagesTechnical undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or NA or more professional certifications is preferred, including ITIL, COBIT, MCSE, CCNAA professional designation (PMP, CMC) is an assetSuperior verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skills as the ability to converse comfortably with both technical and business audiences is criticalExcellent people management and business operations skills (SOWs, practice area financials, utilization)IT SOX or related IT compliance and audit exposure and familiarity with governance and architecture frameworks such as COBIT and ISO 27001 TO APPLY: Please visit NA to apply online.
