In a nutshell, this job requires you to have a split focus between the personal interaction and administrative components, all of which occur in a heavily metrics driven environment. Here's the breakdown - Student and graduate coaching - 35%; Administrative work - 35%, Business development - 20%; and, Interdepartmental relations - 10%. The key job requirements include - Working closely with graduates, Instructors and the applicable members of our Academic Affairs Team in your assigned programsCreating and maintaining graduate files on behalf of your assigned programsDocumenting touch points with potential employers and graduates and job placement outcomes in a computerized tracking systemEnsuring 100% compliance as it pertains to job placement outcomes in accordance with the requirements of our regulatory bodiesSharing success stories and best practicesConducting marketing calls with possible employersPlanning and conducting employer visits and on-campus recruiting opportunitiesSeeking employer feedback and researching industry trendsMaking fact based recommendations, as appropriate, to aid in the development and/or enhancement of curriculum to increase employment opportunities on behalf of your graduatesCapitalizing on industry networking opportunitiesCoaching graduates on career search strategies, personal marketing, interview skills, and self-promotion methods and materialsBeing an advocate for your graduates in the job search process, including salary negotiation The Art Institute of Vancouver is located at 2665 Renfrew Street in Vancouver and offers a dynamic and creative work environment for its Faculty and Staff - a team that is dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience and success for our students.
