Purpose of Role: The Patrol Supervisor oversees the overall operation of the assigned patrol centre(s). Foremen and Maintenance Workers/Operators stationed at the Patrol Centre will report directly to this NA Accountabilities:Managing all routine and emergency maintenance operations undertaken by staff assigned to your assigned Patrol NA in the preparation of Work Orders when required and managing the Work in the field once approved in response to Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) NA in the preparation of Carillion subcontracts and managing subcontractors following contract NA administrative support including staff hiring and NA and managing all field equipment assigned to the Patrol NA time sheets, overtime assignments, expense accounts; managing material inventories and usage; preparing and approving shift schedules; overseeing the accurate completion of records and other documents (patrol diaries, accident reports etc.) and maintaining amicable internal/external communications at all NA duties as assigned. As Patrol Supervisor you will be expected to:Assist patrol staff in performing satisfactorily all highway maintenance and emergency assignments in a manner that promotes cost effective operations, staff co-operation and working in a safe manner and environment at all NA helpful, friendly and courteous at all times to members of the public, property owners, members of Public Agencies, Ministry of Transportation staff and officials, etc. Knowledge and Applied SkillsMinimum DZ License in good standingDemonstrated experience in Provincial and/or Municipal Highway Maintenance or related field will be considered an assetDocumented proof of Worker or Supervisor health and safety awareness training, as applicable (as per Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations). This training can be provided to the successful candidate if neededBe familiar with Ontario's Occupational Health & Safety Act, Highway Traffic Act and it's Regulations as well as Book 7, Temporary Conditions, Field NA written, oral, listening and computer communication skills.
