GDMS has an opening for a Hardware/Systems Architect - Avionics Computers to join a team of engineers that design a range of high-assurance, ruggedized combat systems, including mission computers, platform computing, special-purpose supercomputers and signal processing systems.
The Hardware/Systems Architect - Avionics Computers will analyze, design, develop and test General Dynamics Mission Systems ruggedized avionics computers to ensure the successful integration of software and hardware while achieving reliability, maintainability and safety requirements.
The selected candidate may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology.
The Hardware/Systems Architect - Avionics Computers position requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field and at least eight to ten years of related work experience; or master's degree and a minimum of six to eight years of related experience.
Successful candidates will have hardware systems architecture experience as well as an electronic module design and/or FPGA design background.
Candidates must have in-depth technical knowledge in two or more of the following areas:
