OPEN DATE: September 16, 2016 POSITION STATUS: Full-Time LOCATION: Mayfair Place HOURS: 37.5 hours per week; Monday - Friday At Mayfair Diagnostics we invest in our employees and the community, which is why we created the Mayfair Academy. Mayfair Academy is our learning centre for onboarding new talent, developing our current talent, and educating our referring clinicians and people in the community. We created this environment in order to ensure that our Mayfair people are set up for success upon hire and utilize this space to acquire new skills and training along with educating the community. This new role will further develop the concept to create ties with a larger audience, both internal and external, including patient groups, referring physicians, educational, and government stakeholders. This new role is responsible for independently designing, developing, implementing and operating the architecture of Mayfair Academy. This role will liaise with internal and external audiences to ensure its success, whether it is delivering high caliber programming as a clinic for new talent, or delivering relevant content to external audiences, such as referring physicians. The Mayfair Academy Lead will monitor and review all learning and delivery requirements and keep abreast of the trends and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in our offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES Mayfair Academy · Responsible for independently creating and operating the Mayfair Academy. · Develop strategic plans and annual objectives to accomplish goal of the Academy and business objectives. · Establishes and leads all budgets and is accountable for the overall financial and business performance of the Academy. · Design, develop, and implement the physical, digital and educational architecture of Mayfair Academy. · Partner with the Business Development team to crease new and enhance existing referring physician and patient relationships. Establish and implement comprehensive business development plans for the Mayfair Academy. Monitor any new financial opportunities to gauge for success or consequences of decisions. · Review growth opportunities for the community engagement with VP, Operations and Business Development Director to determine ROI and feasibility assessment. · Keep abreast of trends and best practices and oversee their implementation to improve the company’s efficiency in terms of training processes and skills development. · Deliver a continuous improvement approach always seeking to develop programming and content that is relevant to our internal and external stakeholder groups and introducing new models when appropriate. · Learn the business operations to develop business cases to garner support for programming and growth of the Academy. · Develop and manage profit and loss of operation to ensure a financially profitable and sustainable business unit. · Explore opportunities to make the Academy financially successful and work with key members of the leadership team as required. · Engage partnerships in the community including referring physicians, education, and government to fully leverage opportunities within Mayfair Academy while working to identify learning opportunities to create community engagement. Learning and Development Planning · Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to oversee program creation. · Oversee a robust training platform to target the internal and external learning needs of the organization, including technical, leadership, physician and other specializations as determined. · Monitor the availability of grants from federal and provincial governments; oversees the writing of grant proposals and presents them to funding sources. · Measure and track value of training, including developing budget, training requirements, and outcomes. REQUIREMENT · Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program in business from an accredited institution. · Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business partnerships, operations, or training design and delivery or relevant learning and development function, preferably in a healthcare setting. · 5 years of experience with managing budgets. · Proven creativity and appetite to sourcing new growth opportunities. · Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills. · Outstanding customer service and a positive attitude. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. · Remarkable facilitation and presentation skills. · Exemplary leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire people with differing experience levels. · Proven experience in successfully identifying key stakeholders and building effective internal and external relationships. · Proven experience making innovative and customer focused decisions based on analysis and research of market opportunities and alternative solutions. · Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic and operational training plans focused on achieving budget and performance targets. · Strong interpersonal and coaching skills which encourage and support continuous improvement and have the ability to build effective relationships with radiologists, management, and employees.
