Job Description:

Purpose of Role The Office Clerk will assist in administrative and general office duties within the AMC office. Principal AccountabilitiesGeneral office duties including: reception, letter composition and typing, faxing and photocopying, mail and courier processing, answering the telephone and taking messages, communicating with vendors and reporting inquiries to head office accounting, filing and file maintenance, maintaining the insurance files, purchasing, distribution and upkeep of office supplies, and other duties as NA will also include tracking payroll and processing invoices for payment using the "Viewpoint" accounting program, including date stamping and processing invoices with the appropriate general ledger codes, and processing credit card statements, including matching receipts with the transactions on the statements. These statements must be coded like invoices with appropriate general ledger codes. In addition, you will be responsible for daily entry and reporting of information into the MTO MMIS system, including time sheets. The Office Clerk will be expected to:Perform satisfactorily all duties in a manner that promotes cost effective operations, staff co-operation and is performed in a safe manner and environment at all NA helpful and friendly at all times to members of the public, vendors, members of Public Agencies, Ministry of Transportation staff and officials, etc. Knowledge and Applied SkillsExcellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, and knowledge of general office equipment are NA of current human resources management and accounts payable/receivable policies and procedures an assetFamiliar with payroll processes an assetExcellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)Have professional attitude, be eager to learn and have the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal NA proof of Worker or Supervisor health and safety awareness training, as applicable (as per Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations).
