What is the purpose of the role?
You will be working as part of a team in the Thames Valley Wholesale Waste area as a Process Technician, performing a range of assigned front line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards. In some cases, this may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant. Part of this role will ensure that all statutory and regulatory measures are achieved and maintained. The role also requires the operative to take part in a 1 in 6 weeks out of hour's emergency standby rota.
Our Technicians are a key and integral part to our business every day. We require the best skilled techs to perform a range of assigned front line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards. In some cases, this may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.
This role will involve:
The operation of plant and equipment, cleaning, basic maintenance and fault-finding, monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
Undertaking safety and security checks. If qualified, this will include the planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.
The ideal candidate will have at experience in a relevant industrial processing/engineering environment. You would be working to attain an NVQ Level 2 or possess or be working towards a similar qualification. You will have basic literacy and numeracy skills and must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including Confined Space Entry. Some computer data input /enquiry experience is desirable.
This role is based at Cirencester Sewage Treatment Works, Gloucestershire. We are offering a salary of up to £18,000 depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
