Johnson Controls Fire Detection Division is a global leader in fire and life safety. As part of JCI’s Fire Protection Products, Technical Training serves internal and external customers through a variety of training and performance support offerings. Providing these offerings is possible due to a larger process that analyzes the needs of targeted learners and their companies, designing the offerings to meet business objectives, developing and delivering the content in the most effective learning format, distributing it through the most effective means and, finally, evaluating its effectiveness over time to drive continual improvement for increased positive business impact.
This position is responsible for on-site supervision of select, but complete functions of the Technical Training department. This individual will develop strategy and annual plans to meet company growth requirements and changing training needs within its functional scope of responsibility.
As part of a larger Technical Services Team, the Technical Training Specialist, will organize and lead their training function to successfully implement an approved strategy.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, technical communications, or business administration. Master’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of ten years of experience in corporate training and development function including sales training, product training, and professional skills development.
