This is a key role within the organization, focused on maximizing territory sales volume by building and maintaining relationships with current and new customers. Territory Managers utilize professional skills in salesmanship and visual merchandising and act as the face of the Task Tools brands in the field. JOB DESCRIPTION FOR YOUR REVIEW and PREPARATION: In terms of responsibilities, you will take ownership of the following objectives:Call on / service existing customer accounts and present Task Tools products and promotions throughout the specified territoryActively prospect for new accounts and existing accounts through introduction and placement of new products and through displacing competitors' productsExecute a planned call schedule and constantly seek to improve and refine the plan with support of the Regional ManagerAccurately forecast sales growth for the Territory with support of the Regional ManagerProvide in-store category management (inventory/sales analysis, order creation, merchandising support, etc.) using the Task Pad system and the merchandising tools (POP, merchandisers, planograms, etc.) at your disposal for all service accounts in the NA each customers' assortment of Task Tools products is merchandised to the best of his/her ability to ensure visually appealing brand presence and maximum profitabilityEnsure customers have up-to-date pricing and product informationMaintain a personal supply of adequate product samples for the purpose of product demonstrations and presentationsAttend trade shows and customer events as requiredMake special calls to gather market intelligence and/or to perform ad hoc account activities as required by senior managementReport any competitive or customer activity that could be detrimental to Task Tools' business (including potential problems with customers' credit) As Territory Manger you must meet the following requirements:Be committed to the development and maintenance of superior product and industry knowledge, including competitive offerings and their position within the NA committed to the development and maintenance of superior merchandising skillsImpart these skills and knowledge to customers and end usersPossess excellent written and oral English with a talent for presenting in front of groupsHave strong computer skills, especially with spreadsheet and CRM softwareFeel comfortable working in a team environment as a self-motivated manager of a business unitBe willing to make decisions and to stand behind themBe a strong listener, communicator, relationship builder, and team playerMaintain professional appearance and hygiene at all times by observing company dress code, using an impeccable standard of personal grooming, keeping a clean and well-maintained vehicle, and ensuring all sales/marketing tools are maintained in a condition that confidence in customers, prospects, and NA and maintain a valid drivers license You will be critiqued on the following:Sales performance versus budgetCompliance with daily/weekly/monthly account plansQuality of communication with Regional Manager, other Task Tools staff, customers, and prospectsNumber of new customer accountsSales of new productsSales of promotions, flyers, and specialsTradeshow and customer event resultsCustomer feedback
