Essential Responsibilities:

-Lead EHS team to ensure EHS / non EHS community have all necessary competencies to achieve objectives / targets
-Lead a collaborative approach throughout the EHS and non EHS communities involving SPS central EHS team and OneEHS regional team members as appropriate
-Lead specific EHS improvement programs to achieve excellence in high risk operations and activities
-Engage with and lead the manufacturing (and project) teams and associated contractors to achieve EHS compliance and excellence using Lean techniques
-Engage appropriate line and production managers and drive the ownership of the specific EHS responsibilities
-Develop technical EHS competencies for all necessary management and employee groups
-Develop EHS leadership and coaching competencies throughout the organisation(s) using SLP-O to achieve a proactive culture
-Support management in applying the 'Just and Fair' approach for both recognizing good behaviours and dealing with those who choose to violate our EHS rules
-Liaise with the Partner on EHS non-compliance matters
-EHS event management and reporting
-Implement Loss Prevention and EHS Improvement projects to protect the organisation from loss
-Take EHS decisions to protect interests of SPS


Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

-University degree or equivalent diploma in Environmental Engineering or EHS.
-Fluent in Chinese and English both verbal and written
-Minimum of 15 years' experience in EHS manager area within a large manufacturing site, in which at least 5 years of team management experience
-Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively and to influence those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship exists.
-Full commitment to "spirit & letter" principles, high integrity and transparency
-Good leadership and coaching skills to deploy common EHS & Loss prevention programs
-Strong ownership and performance driven
-Highly developed interpersonal communications skills
