A large main construction contractor, with an annual turnover of over £100m, is now recruiting for a bid/marketing assistant to provide integral support to their bids and business development teams. This contractor has been established in the construction industry for over 40 years, and has produced flagship projects across NI and the UK. Their project portfolio consists of large commercial, education, and healthcare projects up to £40m in value. Due to increasing expansion and development in their bid/marketing departments, they now have a requirement to add a bid/ marketing assistant to their commercial team
Your new role
Reporting the to Bid Director you will be responsible for the assisting in the production of Bids and PQQs. You will utilise marketing and IT software to produce and deliver proposals to a range of clients. You will also be responsible for sourcing new opportunities across a range of sectors in the UK and Ireland.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a third level degree or qualification in a construction, or business and marketing, related discipline. You will have a keen interest in construction, and will be eager to establish a long-term career in the commercial construction industry. You will have a creative drive that will allow you to be able to assist in business development, and an understanding/ experience of the marketing process will be beneficial, though not essential. You will be IT literate, with demonstrable competency in the full Microsoft Office Suite. You will be able to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, and will be capable of producing and delivering presentations.
