The Role |
As the Java Developer your responsibilities will include design, develop, enhance, debug and implement high quality, scalable and robust software whilst ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are fully tested. You'll adopt and champion core engineering practices including TDD, BDD and Continuous Delivery. You'll collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to refine requirements and acceptance criteria. You'll perform feasibility studies and Proof of Concepts for identified new technologies as required. You'll troubleshoot, diagnose, find and test solutions to issues that arise with software installed at customer sites and also participate in requirement gathering and code reviews.
Please note there are three positions available. One being a more Senior which can include mentoring and future progression to lead a team.
As the selected Java Developer you'll have experience managing requirements, creating high level and technical specifications and product development. You'll have an appreciation of issues that matter in creating and maintaining a production environment.
You should also possess the following technical skills and experience:
> Java 7 or above
> High degree of competence in at least one of the following DBs (Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra, Neo4J).
> Understanding of RESTful web services
> Knowledge of Source control, Continuous Integration and Release management.
> Understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns.
> Experience integrating with external systems.
> Excellent skills in research, analysis, planning and implementation.
