Job Description

My client are currently seeking a Site Build Manager in our mobile telecoms division to join the team in the North West of the UK.

The Site Build Manager will report into the Operations Manager and be a point of contact for the customer. They will have responsibility for the customer project and oversee the project on a day-to-day basis. They will assist our Account Managers in the development of telecommunication infrastructure working in a time sensitive and deadline driven environment.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Pre-build design & planning surveys
* Pre-site meetings and resource ordering (materials, crews, access, specialists, MEWPs, etc.)
* Responsible for site build to completion and within agreed budget
* Responsible for on-site H&S
* Responsible for on-site Quality, including final quality sign-off prior to customer audit
* Ensure all costs associated with works are uploaded onto internal management system
* Monitor and report on site costs
* Programming and scheduling of workforce
* Ensure all crews are in possession of and have completed all site documentation. For example (but not limited to) Risk Assessments, Site Logs, Passports, Access Reference Numbers
* Ensure all paperwork associated with site works are completed to the required standard and submitted to the HOD Department within agreed SLA's
* Ensure all timesheets / costs are reviewed and approved / declined where appropriate
* Responsible for ensuring works are completed to budget, on time and Right First Time (All performance KPI's to be measured)
* Identify 'Out of Scope' works and agree commercial cover before commencing
* Liaise with various internal & external stakeholders where required
* Conduct employee review meetings in line with company policy

Desired Skills and Experience


* Degree or Diploma in applicable Engineering, Business, Civil or Construction discipline
* Minimum of 3 years work experience in the industry
* The ability to maintain a high level of productivity; with strong construction method knowledge
* Have excellent project management, time management, communication and organisational skills
* Computer literate
* Be available to travel (full clean driving license)


* Telecommunications industry experience a strong advantage
* Experience with project cost controls would be advantageous
* Highly motivated and ability to work on own initiative
