Cummins Devonport is a high performing, customer focused operation who provide both workshop and field service support to our valued Forestry, Marine, On-Highway and Mining customers within the region. Reporting to our Operations Manager and with direct accountability for a small team of Workshop and Field Service Technicians we are currently seeking a high calibre Workshop Supervisor to join our close-knit team.

This key appointment will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching of the day to day activities of all workshop functions, being hands-on and providing direction and leadership to the Workshop team. In addition, some of the key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
  • Making sure Safety is first priority in all aspects of workshop operations
  • Providing leadership and support to apprentices
  • Hands-on mechanical work
  • Ensuring the on-time completion of scheduled work
  • Being a technical expert and advisor to the team
  • Be a key decision maker in the repair process
  • Managing the repair strategy and the coordination of parts support
The successful candidate will be an experienced Supervisor (light or heavy vehicle) with a strong mechanical background having worked in a similar workshop environment. You will a diagnostic expert, possess demonstrated leadership skills in driving a results focused culture and are a highly proficient in your computer literacy. A commitment to safety and providing world class customer service are also essential to this role.
