My client is a Leading National Civil Engineering Contractor with an estimated annual turnover of £40M.
They are specialist Infrastructure Civil Engineering Contractor that carries out work for clients which include;

Due to an unprecedented period of growth in their Civil Engineering Division, my client is looking to appoint a General Foreman to work on a one of their projects in and around the M3 Corridor.
One of the projects that the successful applicant could find themselves working on is a £5M Bridge strengthening contract just off the M4 near Wokingham. This scheme requires removal of the existing structures and the construction of new embankments and elevated concrete piers to reinstate the structural integrity of the bridge. The project will also involve highway diversion, traffic management, and drainage and pavement repairs.
My client has secured several high-profile projects and frameworks within the area which they are looking to build upon.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
Preparing reports as required;
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Additional duties will include Site Supervision, Managing Health & Safety, Report Writing, Toolbox talks, Holding meetings, programming of works.
From a permanent background with a Principal Civils Contractor, it is expected that you have extensive, demonstrable experience in a Civil Engineering environment.
You will be in possession of SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid, as well as lift supervisor, service coordinator, , NRSWA and temporary works certificates would be highly advantageous.
