Position: Mechanical Estimator|
Since incorporation in 1997, my client has grown significantly to become a unique principle contractor delivering construction and fit out projects throughout the country.
They have extensive expertise in delivering complex turnkey projects in both critical and non-critical environments in nearly all commercial sectors including offices, data centres, retail and public sector. Projects range from 50K to 3 Million, from a school extension to an ambulance station or data centre construction, to an office fit out or ward upgrade in a hospital.
Reporting to Directors, the Mechanical Estimator is responsible for the complete costing and bid preparation of entire projects. The estimator must factor all potential costs involved with each project including labour, materials, location, contract duration and programming and any special requirements that might be needed. They will need to build up the cost estimates by analyzing the materials and labour needed to complete the project, take into consideration the cost of wasted materials and possible delays in the project, know the risks involved, and create compliant cost schedules, as per the company`s pricing schedule proforma.
- Mechanical or Building Services Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of two year`s mechanical estimating experience.
- Understanding/experience of using Amtech Estimating SG software.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability/flexibility to travel Nationwide when role requires.
My client is offering a generous basic salary of £50k with further scope for negotiation for the right candidate. In addition to basic salary the company offers 20 days holiday plus public holidays, use of company vehicles when required and their offices feature an on-site gym and free-parking.
