Our client is one of the country's leading suppliers of industrial components and are looking to recruit an experienced stock controller within their busy team. |
Hours are 8.15am - 4.45pm Mon-Thursday, 8.15am - 3.45pm Friday
Overtime payable at time and a half outside of this.
Flexibility is important due to import deliveries and early starts are sometimes required so therefore we need someone with a driving license.
Use of Sage is preferred and experience in a similar position including supervisory experience is also essential.
Reporting to: The Warehouse Manager
Management of Stock, Stock Movements & Good Inward
•Responsible for all goods inward.
•Checking Deliveries on Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) against the PO for Quality, Quantity and correct product.
•Raising Test Reports (TR) for all deliveries and distributing to correct department.
•Following up TR's and ensuring deliveries are processed in a timely fashion.
•Allocating Stock Location and updating the PO accordingly.
•Attaching correct PO's with GRN's and TR's, stamping and booking stock in.
•Any problems to be reported to DO'D
•Conduct perpetual stock takes on a minimum 5 random product codes per week.
•During the stock take check for quantity, quality of product and tidiness of the stock location, check correct product is in the correct location.
•Pass completed Stock Take Sheets to DO'D for updating.
•Manage all stock Movements not involving order picking.
•Manage all re-locating of products, correct stock locations and movement of stock between warehouses.
•Responsible for the Warehouse layout of stock and ensuring all products have a clear stock location.
•Changing / updating Stock Locations within the Warehouse and ensuring corresponding product is updated with new locations.
•Ensuring all stock locations are clearly marked and labelled.
•Frequent checking of products within stock locations for quality, example Rusting.
•Cleaning / Shot-blasting, Re-oiling and returning to Stock any Products that have excessive rust.
•Re-Stacking locations to enable easier counting, stock checks and order picking and reinforce warehouse appearance and organisation.
•Identify any product that is poorly packaged, damaged packaging or poorly presented. Notify the Warehouse Manager of all product Damages and package damages.
•Re-Pack any products after checking the product is not damaged where packaging is not satisfactory.
•Management movement all product Returns.
•Completion of returns note for product movements where products are returned to stock ensuring the Warehouse Manager is informed of the correct stock location and quantity.
•Distribute returns and Returns Notes (RN) to the correct departments.
•Movement of all tested, Faulty / Return to Customer product to the correct area ensuring the Credit Controller is aware of any product to return to the customer.
•Ensuring all product awaiting testing is clearly marked with the return note number.
•Ensuring the Tech Support copy of the RN is placed in the sleeve provided.
•(Far East Imports Only). Removal of all faulty / damaged products on completion of the RN and location at Netherfield Road site ensuring all stock Control Lists are updated.
•Inform procurement Manager when full pallets are ready for return to supplier.
•(EEC / UK Suppliers only). Inform Procurement Manager of all returned product checked and found faulty, that requires returning to the supplier.
•This should be done in a timely fashion to ensure the product is credited and not left on the shelve for any length of time.
•Liaise with Tech Support MTS, to establish testing of returned products, to ensure the shelves are kept in a manageable number.
•General management of the Returns
•Managing PO's and progress chasing supplier for delivery dates.
•Ensuring suppliers deliver on time in accordance with the delivery date on the PO.
•Booking in stock on receipt.
•Standing in for the Warehouse Manager during holidays and absences.
•To ensure the continued smooth running of the warehouse function and in particular despatch of customer order.
