Manufacturing Manager required for exciting opportunity with global manufacturing company for a senior Manufacturing Manager. Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager this is a critical role with direct reports including Production Managers with indirect responsibility for high numbers of skilled shop floor workers and team leaders.

The role requires a Manufacturing Manager with experience of high product variety and low volume batches. Experience in a CNC / machining environment is highly desirable.

The business is keen to recruit a Manufacturing Manager with leadership traits who can drive through change within a business where existing processes are entrenched, it is an opportunity for a dynamic, people focused manufacturing manager with change management and significant lean tools to take the company on a journey.

Responsibilities include:

- Continual manufacturing improvements regarding cycle times and efficiency
- Ensuring work is planned for all shifts
- Workshop discipline, smooth running, housekeeping
- Overseeing apprentice progression
- Liaising with the Quality Manager to assist in the close out of NCR's
- Completion and adherence to the daily capacity loaded plan
- Shop floor stock control and accuracy of line side issued inventory
- Overseeing apprenticeship programme

Within this role as Manufacturing Manager immediate priorities will be:

- OEE measure on all machines
- Action to improve OEE from data capture
- Precision change over
- Lost time reductions
- Non-capital investments
- Capital investments

As Manufacturing Manager you will be utilising the key practice tools and behaviours to drive through sustainable change required to increase output. This includes;

- OEE measure on all machines

- Action to improve OEE from the data capture

- Precision change overs
- Lost time reductions

- Daily reviews standardised across all shifts and shift handovers
- Queue time reduction on overloaded machines to meet maximum allowable queue
- Support the reorganisation to maximise effectiveness and available hours

This is an exciting opportunity and will excite a Manufacturing Manager looking for a challenging opportunity. Low volume manufacturing experience within a CNC environment is highly preferable
