Our client is a large, unique, worldwide heavy engineering and manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a PMO MANAGER who will provide effective leadership, management and direction to the Programme Management department for all production. They specialise in large scale steel cast and forged products for industry sectors such as defense, power generation, nuclear, offshore oil and gas. Excellent holidays, sickness, pension benefits available.

To administer and monitor change projects such that cost, quality, plan, time, and benefits realisation are controlled and achieved. Ensuring that all projects adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for project management.
Portfolio management and prioritisation, engagement with project managers to validate that project artefacts are fit for purpose, status reporting and portfolio reporting, policing of project benefit realisation and quality management. Implementation of best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of business change and projects to stakeholders across the business.

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following essential skills:

At least five years of relevant project management or PMO management experience.
Experience of managing the complete lifecycle of a project with project teams of 2 to 15 people.
Prince 2 practitioner (or equivalent).
Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project.
Ability to operate in a matrix management environment.
Establishing, maintaining and embedding frameworks and standards for project management.
Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods.
