Multi Skilled Engineer - Meat Processing|
Salary: £strong in the marketplace
We've got a fantastic opportunity for a couple of Multi Skilled Engineers to join the Engineering team at our Client's manufacturing site in Lincolnshire. Reporting to the Engineering Team Manager, you will work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption. These roles will be on a day shift basis on weekends covering Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues.
At this site there are 780 employees. They supply retail stores, and other meat processing businesses with raw materials to produce a full range of butchery products including materials for sausage, pies and cooked meats. They are currently increasing the size of their team covering weekends; working to improve completion of Pre Planned Maintenance to support the efficiency of their factory and are looking for two additional Engineers to help them do this. This can be a full or part time role but will include working weekends.
Work collaboratively within the Engineering team
Support in investigating means of improving plant productivity
Ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available.
Investigate and establish causes of all breakdowns and damages
Action any necessary repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
Be involved in both electrical and mechanical reactive and pro-active maintenance.
Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site
You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical Engineering, BTEC level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
Ideally, IEE qualification up to 17th edition Wiring Regulations
Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault finding role gained from within a FMCG environment (Ideally Food Industry)
Have a good understanding of HACCP principles
Previous experience programming PLC is beneficial however not essential.
You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work.
