Electrical and Instrument Project Engineer - Pharmaceutical Site - Cheshire - £Neg - Staff Position |
Our client is looking to recruit an Electrical and Instrument Project Engineer with at least 5 years experience in a project engineering role including design installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems. Although there are the instrument duties there is also need for a strong electrical background. You will ideally have a degree in electrical, if not electrical a degree in instrument or control subjects are acceptable but you will be required to have a heavy background in electrical projects. You will be the electrical authority for the site and will be involved in Senior Authorised Persons duties. You should have a sound understanding of the validation life-cycle for engineering projects and the importance of working on a highly regulated environment, having extensive experience on either a top tier Comah or GMP regulated site.
To provide project engineering services for facilities and/or equipment projects as assigned.
Work with autonomy to provide an effective comprehensive project engineering service for assigned capital investment projects. Manage and facilitate communication across the engineering functions to ensure that for all assigned projects the project objectives and needs are met.
Manage and maintain accurate financial data to provide control of capital expenditure on assigned projects and to facilitate strategic investment decisions.
Manage and maintain accurate project programmes to provide control of project activities and precise reporting of milestone achievements.
Monitor, report and improve agreed performance criteria, (e.g. progress, cost, safety, compliance).
Ensure engineering project work is undertaken by competent personnel and that resource is effectively managed. Where external engineering consultants and contractors are engaged, to ensure that the services provided are in accordance with company standards and practices. Manage contract engineering staff as required by each project. Coordination of internal and external engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interfaces in close coordination with the discipline team leaders.
Support the customer in the generation of user requirement specifications, and engage with the customer throughout the course of the project. Ensure technical requirements defined in within customer requirements are properly incorporated in the engineering deliverables
Ensure that the required standard of cGMP and EHS are anticipated, implemented and maintained for all areas of responsibility. Promote and generate continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Ensure negotiations with third party Companies meet the site's business requirements, and engage with the procurement team when required.
Acting as the deputy to the Project Manager and providing back-up for the Project Manager as required. Completing all assigned tasks as delegated by the Project Manager.
