FIELD MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - MECHANICAL BIAS |

Be part of a large global firm supplying railway track maintenance and track laying machines. The equipment that they produce are top of the range cutting-edge technology and so are looking to employ the best Maintenance Engineer in Essex to join their team.
ABOUT THE JOB
The equipment you will work on are called Tampers (track laying equipment) and they will be working during the night between Romford and Colchester. Your role is to meet these monster machines where they finish their work in the morning and will undertake essential maintenance, servicing, fault finding and any component changes to ensure that the machines are ready to roll before its night shift.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
As this is a field based role you will need to have the experience of working independently on locomotives, diesel trains or armed forces equipment (armoured vehicles, artillery etc). Due to the nature of work you will need to have a mechanical bias, hydraulic experience and some electrical knowledge. You will also need a minimum of NVQ Level 3 and a full driving licence.
