Hallmark Fire (Part of United Technologies Corporation) is a national fire systems company specialising in the design, supply, installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of a comprehensive range of fire related products and life safety systems.
We are now recruiting two experienced Fire Alarm Engineers to report to the Operations Manager and to cover an area primarily across central London and the M25 region and up to Northampton and the Midlands.
Your remit will be to carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection and repairs of fire alarms, voice alarms, aspirating smoke detection, leak detection and public address systems, whilst maintaining and improving and customer satisfaction levels. Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems experience is highly desirable, although not essential. You will ideally have gained a recognised Electrical or Electronic qualification and you will need a full Driving Licence.
It is essential that you possess experience in servicing fire alarm panels and electronic fire system maintenance, along with working on gas and detection systems.
The role will involve servicing fire alarm systems, routine periodic maintenance and remedial work and attending emergency breakdowns. You will work on large, Blue Chip customer sites, data centres, office blocks etc. and therefore previous experience of large networked analogue fire systems is essential. You will be expected to continually promote Hallmark Fire's products and services.
As the PAVA Alarm Engineer, it is essential that you possess experience in servicing fire alarm panels and electronic fire system maintenance, along with working on aspirating fire detection systems. As a flexible team player, you will be able and willing to participate in an on-call rota, out of hours` call outs and be available to work nights as and when required. You will also be able to demonstrate the following qualities: problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work on own initiative and a reasonable level of written & numeric skills. The basic salary is up to c£30,000 + Overtime + Vehicle + Benefits.
