Job Title: Configuration Assistant

Location(s): Glenrothes - Scotland

Summary of Role:
Working within the Quality team to assist with the creation and maintenance of Raytheon Standard processes for Configuration and Data Management Programs. You will hold responsibility for accreditation and the Change Control Board whilst also supporting Six Sigma Process improvement initiatives.

Main Duties:

  • Assist in the Creation and maintenance of program Configuration and Data Management Plans (as required).
  • Assist in the population and maintenance of the company MRP & Data management Systems.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of program baselines.
  • Administer Configuration and Data Management in line with RSL standard processes and practices, customer requirements and relevant program security requirements.
  • Responsibility for the Change Control Board ( CCB ) in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan, the CCB Procedure and customer requirements.
  • Interfacing and communication with functional areas and customers.
    Supporting external agency, accreditation body & customer audits.
    Issue and control of customer and internal work instructions and procedures.
  • Input to Configuration reporting and metrics.
  • Archive and maintain customer and RSL documentation and software in a suitable Data Management repository as defined by internal and customer requirements.
  • To support the use of the company life cycle management systems ( IPDS ) as required by the allocated programs.
  • To participate in process improvements via the use of Raytheon Six Sigma.
  • Participation in effective & timely closure of actions received from Audit NC 's/internal and customer 8D's.

Candidate Requirements:

• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of configuration and data control processes and procedures.
• Experience in creation of agenda's / minutes and chairing meetings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Organised, can plan and prioritise workload.
• Good time management skills.
• Team Player, will provide input to discussions and initiatives.
• Ability to work to timescales and meet commitments.
• Proactive, will use own initiative to make improvements or resolve issues.
• Reliable and conscientious.
• Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.

  • Awareness of Def Std 05- 57 ( Configuration Management of Defence Material ).
