Job Description |
The Ground Communications Technician shall perform diagnosis; repairs; and modifications to ground data/communications equipment at the organizational and intermediate levels. Typical duties include the repairing; aligning; and calibration of radio equipment and secure voice systems; requisitioning of components and parts; completion of repair requests and records; and the interconnection of equipment to provide special capabilities. Must possess a thorough working knowledge of content and format of military technical manuals; technical instructions; modification instructions; and end item stock list (SL-3/SL-4).
Tests; troubleshoots; repairs and modifies electronic developmental and production equipment; parts; components; and systems according to engineering instructions.
Professional training or equivalent experience in the operation; field installation; and repair of USMC Ground Communications equipment to include power supplies; tactical radio systems; inverters; modems and antenna systems. Prefer Candidate have former military experience at the MOS 2846 Ground Communications Technician level.
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical training or work experience.
3-5 years of related experience
Former military experience at the MOS 2841/2862 Ground Communications Technician level desired. Contractor shall be able to obtain an operators• license for non-tactical/tactical Government-owned equipment.
